Phoenix, Arizona – 2025. BakLit LLC today announced the debut of its BakLit™ Pendant and BakLit™ Ring,
a new class of fine jewelry that pairs GIA certified Natural Fei Cui (Jadeite) Type A with a patent-pending
micro-lighting engine only 6 mm thick.
Concealed beneath each translucent stone is a thin polyimide circuit substrate carrying a micro-controller,
optical-grade LED die, touch sensor, and power management system powered by LR1130 coin cells or future wireless-charging
solutions. The result is a soft, breath-like glow that can be configured to pulse, fade, or remain steady – without
visible hardware, bezels, or intrusive screens.
“We took some of the rarest Fei Cui on the planet and asked a simple question,” says co-founder
Joe Alosi. “What if this ‘Heaven’s Stone’ could carry its own light? BakLit is our answer – a way to let
the stone tell its story in pure color and motion.”

BakLit LLC has prepared and filed patent applications covering the mechanical, optical, and electrical integration of a gemstone-centric
illumination system inside fine jewelry settings, including but not limited to rings, pendants, bracelets, and other
wearable or display objects.
- Layered Optical Stack: Arrangement of jadeite, diffusion media, LED die, and reflector optimized for maximum internal scattering while protecting gemstone integrity.
- Ultra-Thin Flexible Electronics: Use of polyimide or similar substrates to host surface-mount components, with LED on the opposing side of the board for direct optical coupling.
- Touch & Sensor Control: Capacitive touch pad and optional sensors governing multi-mode LED effects (off, low, medium, high, pulse, fade) via discrete logic or micro-controller.
